Best Supplements For Travel (Pack These Before You Leave)

by Rob @ Date Vietnamese Girls

If you’re planning to visit Asia, bring supplements. Why? Because it’s tough to enjoy a Western diet. In most Eastern countries, locals don’t eat much beef and many dishes contain almost no protein. As such, it’s hard for your body to adjust. Long-term travelers and expats often complain about feeling “off” or having brain fog. […]

7 Reasons Iceland Should Be Your Next Travel Destination

by Heesun @ Me Want Travel

Iceland is a gorgeous country and has been receiving its fair share of hype due to social media. I went in March 2016 and it was 100% worth it, even though it was cold AF (I’m not going to lie to you). Here are 7 reasons why Iceland should be your next travel destination. 7 Reasons Why Iceland Should Be Your Next Travel Destination 1. Waterfalls – Waterfalls are EVERYWHERE in Iceland. It was pretty standard to see at least one an hour when we were driving. Here are just two examples, the first is Seljalandsfoss and the second is Haifoss (the ending -foss denotes that it is a waterfall). 2. Icelandic horses – As you drive around the Ring Road or throughout Iceland’s beautiful scenery, you will most likely chance upon some Icelandic horses. They’re extremely adorable and remind me of ponies. Sometimes, they’re so still that you feel like you’re looking at a photograph, with only their tails blowing in the wind to hint at their realness. 3. Double rainbows on the regular – With its random rains, seeing double rainbows in Iceland is a pretty regular magical occurrence. And being in Iceland, you have the added benefit of a dope […]

How to Choose the Best Backpacking Backpack in 2018

by Sharon @ Me Want Travel

Although suitcases have taken over the traveling world for many years, backpacks are increasing in popularity with the rise in world travelers and backpacker culture. It could be argued that backpacks are even more convenient than carrying a suitcase. Perhaps it is the fact that backpacks allow more freedom and ease of travel when getting through airports, going up or down stairs, or crossing busy streets with rocky pavement. Purchasing a new travel backpack should be seen as an investment, as you should be choosing a quality pack that will do its job without too much wear and tear. That doesn’t mean that you need to blow your savings (that could be used for travel) when there are plenty of affordable backpacks out there! Many backpacks are also carry-on friendly to cut down on extra travel costs. But with so many options you may be wondering what some of the main features to look for are. So, to help you out, we have made a list with a few tips and backpack suggestions before you go out and make your purchase! Visiting Stanley and Repulse Bay in Hong Kong

by Sharon @ Me Want Travel

I had been staying in Chiang Mai, Thailand for a month or so and plan on staying there until around March. During this time, I decided to surprise my parents back in Hong Kong (they live there half the year)! I flew over on the 7th without them knowing, and when they opened the door to greet me my dad was in shock and my mom cried. My eyes welled up a little too, haha. It was wonderful hanging out with my parents. I headed back to Chiang Mai on January 16th, but while I was in Hong Kong I was trying to bond with family and get out of the house each day. The other day we visited Stanley and Repulse Bay. The last time I went was with a friend, so it had been a while since going with family. Transportation To get to Stanley and Repulse Bay, we suggest taking a bus rather than a taxi to save money, as the bus is convenient and takes you directly there. Taking a taxi can cost at least 100 HKD, while buses may price under 10 HKD. I like sitting on these double deckers cause you can get a […]

Top Places to Visit in Mexico City

by Heesun @ Me Want Travel

Mexico City is a beautiful place and is having a bit of a moment with all the travel blogger hype. If you’re a fan of architecture and/or design, you will love Mexico City with its brightly colored homes, courtyards, and greenery. If you don’t, you can directly complain to me or blame it on me. Oh yea, you can also check out the pyramids at Teotihuacan, which were created around 100 BC, nbd. And the food…I pretty much lived on a diet of tacos and determined that it was the lifestyle I was meant to live. Also, please buckle in and prepare for a crap ton of solo shots because Mexico City is so damn photogenic. Top Places to Visit in Mexico City 1. La Casa Azul – aka Frida Kahlo’s home. The use of color and print in her home is awesome and so is learning how deeply this woman influenced art and fashion. She even became a symbol of the feminist movement. It was crazy to learn more about her personal life, like how she suffered from polio, then survived a horrible bus accident, married fellow artist Diego Rivera who was 20 years her senior, Diego slept with her […]
