Vietnamese food near Hobby Airport? Try Bun Bo Hue Co Do

Vietnamese food near Hobby Airport? Try Bun Bo Hue Co Do

Houston Chronicle

I am a spring-roll aficionado, often prowling the city in search of the tasty Asian wraps. If you are too, you really should know about Bun Bo Hue Co Do, a little restaurant near Hobby Airport. Do not be deterred by the barred windows on its unassuming strip-mall storefront. The hidden gem doesn't have a website, either. But it does have the best spring rolls I've found in Houston, bar none. The rice paper is translucent and gossamer, a rebuttal to the microwaved leather common at less meticulous establishments. The savory grilled pork within is still warm from the grill, a wonderful contrast with the coolness of the crisp greens and fresh herbs. A pair of made-to-order rolls costs just $4.

Survivor Filter Pro Review: How to Purify Water Anywhere in the World

by Benjamin Juster @ Television of Nomads

No matter where you find yourself in the world, you’re going to need to make sure that you have a reliable source of clean drinking water. Knowing how to purify water while traveling and having the appropriate tools to do so ensures that you always have clean water, and it is eco-friendly as well: no more dozens of wasted plastic bottles! We’ve found that the Survivor Filter line of water filters, including the Survivor Filter Pro, the Survivor Filter Personal Water Filter, and the Survivor Filter Collapsible Canteens, are the perfect choices for travelers who want to purify their own water conveniently, easily, and reliably. We used all three of these high-quality Survivor Filter products extensively on our travels throughout China, Mongolia, and Southeast Asia. The Survivor Filter products accompanied us to the cities of China, the temples of Myanmar, and the taiga of Mongolia, providing us clean water every step of the way. Whether out in the wilderness, or in a small village where the only available water was for purchase at our hotel at a ridiculously inflated price, our water filters kept us hydrated while saving us money and hassle. In each situation along our 5 straight months […]
